A PAIR OF BLUE-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE SQUARE-SECTION VASES, CONG
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
Each vase is decorated in mirror image with four rectangular panels depicting narrative scenes, one of which is signed 'Xiliang zuo' with one seal in iron-red. The shoulder and underside are decorated with four gilt flower sprays and the neck is encircled by a stiff leaf band. Each base is painted with a Jingdezhen zhi mark.
