the Duke modelled saluting and turned in the saddle, Boneparte modelled on a rearing horse after the portrait of the Emperor crossing the Alps by David (C11 figs. 25 & 26) -- 17.6cm. high, circa 1840's (cracks to Napoleon, some wear generally)
