Boulnois of 14 Charlotte Street, Rathbone Place, London, is recorded as being active circa 1825-1830. Although his first name is not recorded, a number of labelled pieces of furniture survive by this maker. There is a labelled canterbury at Birthwaite Hall, Yorkshire. The firm is probably the same Boulnois who supplied furniture to Lord Braybrooke at Audley End in the late 1830s (see: The Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, Leeds, 1986, p. 91).
