This copy is inscribed by Steinbeck to his school friend Rena Bromley Jackson with an original limerick: “For Rena and Peeley / Too mucha they try to digesta / Of a mule that had died / Of the glanders inside / Now todo familia no está.” A distinctive copy of one of the most influential novels of the 20th century, which tells the story of a family forced to leave their Dust Bowl home in search of a better life in California.
