'The treatise deals systematically with poltergeists and malevolent ghosts, souls calling out for intercessory masses and spirits from Heaven and Hell. Chancery quarto (218 x 140mm). 26 leaves, woodcut initials coloured red, rubricated (minor marginal worming, first leaf restored with loss to one letter, faint thumbsoiling). Modern half vellum. Provenance: 2pp. 16th-century Latin MS on endpaper, incomplete, in the form of a letter, possibly on a related subject – early marginal annotations.
