the earlier example of cauldron form and on shell and hoof feet, with a gadrooned rim, elaborate scroll handle, blue glass liner and domed hinged cover with flower finial, chased and embossed with rococo flowers and foliage and with several vacant cartouches, Joseph Angell, London 1819 - 4in. (10.25cm.) overall, the slightly later example of part spiral-fluted tapering moulded circular form and with a blue glass liner, the foliate and serpent scroll handle and domed hinged cover with cauliflower finial and floral thumb piece, the body and cover each chased with friezes of flowers and foliage, maker's initials W.F., London 1825 - weight excluding liners 10.25oz.
