De forme rectangulaire, ils représentent deux paysages lacustres et montagneux finement sculptés en corne de buffle. Des personnages se livrent à des activités de la vie quotidienne ou cheminent sur les sentiers escarpés de hautes montagnes. Le cadre est en laque rouge sculptée de treillis losangés ; petite restauration.

Compare with a very similar horn-applique landscape panel illustrated by G. Hawthorn, Oriental Works of Art, London, 1998, p. 86 and later sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 28-29 November 2005, lot 1600. See another inscribed imperial buffalo horn-inlaid panel, dated Qianlong period, sold in Sotheby's Hong Kong, 3 April 2018, lot 3627.
