Lot Essay

Reference 5020 was in production from 1994 until 2002, and available in yellow, pink, and white gold, as well as platinum. It takes a unique and different design approach to perpetual calendar chronographs, and today is a highly sought after model. Introduced as an alternative to the 3970 perpetual chronograph, the 5020 was dubbed the 'TV set' in the late 1990s due to its tonneau shape taking inspiration from vintage Patek Philippe chronographs.

This particular near mint and complete example of the 5020R is preserved in remarkably impressive condition and is one of the earliest known pink gold models to exist made in 1995. To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.
