Compare a similar bowl from the collection of Jacques Graeffe, published in Daisy Lion-Goldsmith, Ming Porcelain, New York, 1978, p. 261, pl. 281, and another in the British Museum, illustrated in Jessica Harrison-Hall, Ming Ceramics, London, 2001, p. 347, no. 11:187. A slightly larger (40.3 cm.) similar piece was sold at Christie's New York, 19 March 2008, lot 589.
