Lot Essay

Chen Lifu was born in Zhejiang province and in 1924 he received his master’s degree in mining engineering from University of Pittsburgh. He was an influential figure in Kuomingtang (Nationalist Party), having served as Chiang Kaishek’s personal secretary and later became the Minister of Education.
