Il y dénonce la répression sanglante d’une manifestation de la police. La publication de ce dessin aboutira à sa tentative d’arrestation. Elle relate cet épisode de manière fantaisiste, les forces de polices étant décrites comme des insectes responsables du choléra. Pour la publication, Grandville apporte quelques modifications à la composition, comme en témoignent le texte imprimé mais également le dessin qui servi probablement de modèle (Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie, inv. 222).
