‘…[I] don’t have a religion. My paintings are the light of my heart, and the light of my soul. The sense of motion in the painting may come from the rhythm that is created by the combination of lines, the spatial structure, or the transformation of colours. Yet I seek to instil harmony into motion and subtlety into rawness, and preserve the sense of serenity in the composition. I mostly paint oil paintings, but I have never stopped creating in watercolour and ink.’－ Chu Teh-Chun
