containing 39 Kalighat paintings of various deities, gouache heightened with silver on paper - each approx. 9 x 7½in. (23 x 19cm.), and 16 adhesive Mahabarat illustrations printed by Ralli Brothers Manchester - the larger 9½ x 7¼in. (24.2 x 19cm.), (some spotting and light wear), green part moroco binding, Calcutta, circa 1880 - album leaf 12 x 9¾in. (30.5 x 24.8cm.)

The prints are probably copied from illustrations of an Akbar-period Razmnaheh published in Thomas Holbein-Hendley's 'Memorials of Jaipur' exhibition.
