Both painted with scattered flower sprays within blue line and gilt dash bands, the rim of the strainer stand with four gilt scrollwork cartouches

Compare the similar cheese-strainer and stand sold Christie's, New York, 21 October 2006, lot 719. François Le Vavasseur is recorded as a flower painter at the manufactory from 1753-70.
