Collection Carol Meyer, New York, depuis les années 1980 :
Carole Meyer et son époux, Seymour, étaient des collectionneurs de peinture post impressionnistes qui ont acquis tardivement des œuvres précolombiennes dans les années 1960. Madame Meyer a offert un grand nombre d’objets important au département des Amériques du Metropolitan Museum de New York ai sein duquel elle a œuvré en tant que bénévole durant plus de 25 ans.

Mrs. Meyer and her husband, Seymour, were New York collectors of Post-Impressionist paintings and later branching out into Pre-Columbian art in the 1960s. Mrs. Meyer donated various important works to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s department of the Americas where she served as a volunteer for over 25 years.
