A FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'BUTTERFLIES' SPITTOON, ZHADOU
TONGZHI FOUR-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
The vessel is modelled with a globular body and an everted neck with a gilt rim. The exterior is finely decorated to the exterior with a multitude of delicate butterflies in flight on a vibrant yellow ground.
