Originally linked to the famous Noëllat estate this famous Domaine has been organically farmed since 1991. Not so long ago, no wine was bottled at the Domaine, the first vintage to appear under the Confuron label was 1988. They are very consistently high quality. The JJ Confuron Romanee St Vivant is made from very old vines, planted in 1922, located between those of Domaine Leroy and Hudelot. There are only ten owners of the famous vineyard, whilst DRC owns the majority, Confuron is the forth in size.
The Clos Vougeot comes from two excellent parcels both at the top of slope, the best part of this large Grand Cru vineyard. Rich concentrated wines with a nice touch of oak to support the natural terroir definition. The Nuits St Georges Les Boudots is remarkably Vosne is style, refined and concentrated, not surprising as the vineyard is a continuation of Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts.
