MARK OF JOSEPH WALKER, DUBLIN, 1715
Tapering cylindrical with slightly spreading foot, hinged domed cover and foliate scroll thumbpiece, the scroll handle with beaded rat-tail, engraved with a coat-of-arms and underneath with initials 'F' over 'BM', marked near rim, inside cover and on handle, engraved underneath with scratch weight '58-5'
10 1/8 in. (25.7 cm.) high
56 oz. 17 dwt. (1,768 gr.)
The arms are those of Fallon impaling Irwin, for Bryan Fallon of Runnimead [Runnamoat], co. Galway and his wife Mary, daughter of Christopher Irwin of Oran, co. Roscommon, whom he married in 1703.
