Union Pacific Railroad FEF3 4-8-4 locomotive and tender No. 843
3½in. gauge, well engineered and almost complete by D. Spence with brazed superheated copper boiler built by R.R. Chambers and stamped RRC 457 with fittings including twin water gauges, safety, blower, two injector, steam brake, whistle, clack, blowdown and other valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, cylinder drains, fluted motion, displacement lubricator, steam operated brake gear, two injectors, two note whistle, 'Cannon' axle boxes with roller bearings to coupled axles and coil and working leaf springing and much external detailing. Tender details include rolling chassis with five fixed axles and leading four wheel bogie, tank and coal bunker and most main parts ready for assembly. The loco finished in grey and black, the tender chassis in grey, the remainder unpainted -- 13 x 76in.
