The photograph is an enlargement of a 16mm motion picture film still from the camera that was pointed out Buzz Aldrin’s Lunar Module window to record Armstrong and Aldrin’s lunar surface activities. This frame captures them straightening out the wrinkles in the flag after placing it on the moon.
