Aldrin photographs the U.S. flag as it was supposed to remain on the Moon for all time.

SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Buzz ALDRIN. After returning from his moonwalk, Aldrin captures the U.S. flag which he and Neil Armstrong had placed on the lunar surface. The flag casts a shadow to the left as well as one of Eagle’s landing legs. The white TV camera and tripod can be seen in the distance. One of Eagle’s small thruster maneuvering engines is also visible.
