APOLLO 11 FLIGHT PATH – Apollo Translunar / Transearth Trajectory Plotting Chart (ATT), Apollo Mission 11. Aeronautical Chart and Information Center, USAF for NASA, 23 June 1969.

An excellent visual representation of the Apollo 11 journey, inscribed with flight communications during the lunar landing.

INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Buzz ALDRIN: "Our Road Map to the First Lunar Landing! Buzz Aldrin, LMP;” and by Charles M. DUKE: “Eagle, Houston – We read you now. You’re go for PDI… You’re go for landing… We copy you down, Eagle. Charles M. Duke, Jr. Apollo 11 CAPCOM” between the translunar and transearth trajectory lines. At the chart center is the Earth as viewed looking down at the North Pole. The Moon’s position around the Earth is plotted exactly for the July and August 1969 time period. The most important flight profile events such as Earth launch, translunar injection, lunar and Earth coast phases, lunar orbit insertion, lunar landing - liftoff, and transearth injection are shown in their relative positions.

Lithograph, 20 by 24 inches.
