SIGNED and INSCRIBED: "Apollo 8 Photos by James Lovell and Crew," "Apollo X Photos by Tom Stafford and Crew" and "Apollo XI Photos by Buzz Aldrin & Crew." The author compiles over 100 photographs taken from the first three manned lunar exploration missions, including a detailed caption and individual NASA mission photo ID for each image. The endpapers are lunar surface maps that plot the locations and viewing angles of these orbital images. Information on the cameras and films used by the astronauts can also be found, and a six-page index provides additional photographic information. Lunar surface photographs taken by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin during the first manned moon walk on 20-21 July, 1969 are featured across over 20 pages in the book.
