An Oklahoma state flag, flown aboard Apollo 13, signed with an inscription from Fred Haise.
SIGNED and INSCRIBED “Flown around the moon on Apollo 13, Fred Haise, LMP." Haise chose to carry this flag aboard because he had received his degree in aeronautical engineering at the University of Oklahoma in 1959. After he received his degree, he went on for postgraduate study at the Air Force Test Pilot School at Edward's Air Force Base in 1964. He would be selected to become a NASA astronaut in 1966.
Silk flag, 11.75 by 7.5 inches. Inscribed at lower left corner. [With:] Fred Haise's typed and signed letter of provenance dated 15 May 2019.
