Rebottled in 2016. New wax capsules with A Madeira seal. Bin soiled labels. Levels: into-neck
Tasting note: Intense high toned nose with creme brulee and floral aromas. Nicely opening up after some time in the glass. Straw. At first smell the wine appeared a bit tired. Ethereal.
Focused start of taste, fine, butter scotch but dry aromas in the mouth. Nice Canteiro aged acidity on the finish. Very nice Sercial. Classic a bit rough with longue lingering taste. Strikingly butterscotch on the flavour. After half an hour more inviting nose of firestone, salty even, high toned still. Smokey tones. Fresh acidity. Getter better with time in the glass.
