The finely modelled figure is seated on rocks wearing voluminous robes that fall in graceful folds around the body. She holds a child with a lotus bud in his hand on her raised knee. She wears a beaded necklace and and the hair is elegantly coiffed in a topknot adorned with jewellery. The figure is covered overall in a creamy glaze of ivory tone. The back is impressed with a seal reading He Chaozhong yin (the seal of He Chaozhong).
