Château Cos d'Estournel 1966
Saint-Estéphe, 2ème cru classé
Six damaged labels. Levels: into-neck
Tasting note: Base of neck level. Bordeaux bottled by Cruse. At first a touch high toned, though not showing much aroma after opening. The taste initially was quite tight and reserved, in the glass the wine opened up and became more harmonious in a classic fully mature mineral St Estephe style. Sweet dried fruits appear after half an hour with a more present acidity on the fully mature after taste.
Later that day the same open bottle was more in balance with Magret de Canard. August 2019. EV.
