Lot Essay

Another brandy bowl of 1642 with mark of Laurens Thomas in the collection of the Rijksmuseum is illlustrated in J. W. Frederiks, Dutch Silver, vol. 2, The Hague, 1960, pl. 220, p. 87 and 183.

We would like to thank Mr Jan Schipper for his help in identifying the maker of this bowl.
