A PALE CELADON JADE AXE
NEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 2500-2000 BC
The axe flares slightly towards the softly bevelled, rounded cutting edge, with a hafting hole pierced from both sides near the butt. The stone is of a variegated pale celadon and white tone mottled with olive-green.
