A very similar micromosaic set on a tortoiseshell snuff-box is in the Gilbert Collection, London, and is illustrated in J. Hanisee Gabriel, The Gilbert Collection. Micromosaics, London, 2000, p. 197, no. 128. The mosaic possibly depicts a view of the Bay of Naples.
