Lot Essay

Audemars Piguet had exclusivity for the exploitation of the patented process and its first forged carbon case, ref. 26062 Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team, was launched in 2007, followed by several models with this unique material. The forged carbon case has special properties when it comes to durability, lightness and visual appeal. To its meticulous manufacturing process, every forged carbon case is different. Carbon fibers are compressed under heating, the material unfolds in an unpredictable manner and provides a final product that is unique each time.
