COLLECTION OF MR DE LIGNE (1897-1987) (LOTS 23-24)Mr de Ligne (1897-1987) was a renowed physician who practiced in Beijing and Shanghai in the early 1930s and returned to France in the early 1950s. During his long journey in China, he treated many famous artists such as Huang Binhong, Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong and Liu Haisu. Some of them became good friends of his and gave him many of their paintings as gifts of recognition.
