Rectangular with waisted sides, the cover set with an oval portrait miniature, on ivory, of H.M. King George III (1738-1820), in red and blue General's uniform with gold epaulettes, black stock, black cocked hat, wearing the breast-star of the Order of the Garter, in polished gold frame within chased foliate scrolls
