CIRCA 1785, IRON-RED CROWNED INTERLACED L'S MARKS, PROBABLY PAINTED BY DIEU, THE CUP INCISED CP

The attribution to Dieu of the painting on the present cup and saucer is based on a comparison between it and the very similar marked example in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London [C.759A-1925].
