An early Victorian gilt-bronze half quarter repeating carriage timepiece
the case with outset columns cast with leafy foliage and on milled bun feet, the sides and tops profusely engraved with scrolling foliage, the base numbered 1023, the glazed front frame with catch in base sliding downwards to reveal the silvered foliate engraved Roman dial with blued moon hands within a similar engraved foliate mask, the single fusee watch movement signed Perigal & Duterand Bond Street London 1963, with diamond endstone to the verge escapement, push half quarter repeat on two steel gongs -- 4½in. (11.5cm.) high
