the case surmounted by a figure of a woman in classical drapery trailing a floral garland (some damage), standing on a pedestal and flanked by amorini, the shaped base mounted with further foliate swags, with transfer-painted porcelain panels flanking the similarly decorated dial with individual Roman chapters and scene of a woman with Cupid to the centre, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, French, late 19th century -- 26¼in. (67cm.) high
