the hood with break arch top surmounted by a brass finial of an eagle with displayed wings atop an orb, fluted chamfered sides, fret-pierced roundels to the sides and marquetry flowers to the front, the wavy top trunk door with satinwood line inlay, flanked by fluted three-quarter pilasters, the silvered circular dial signed GREEN EDIN.R with engraved subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; seatboard replaced, lacking glass to hood door, splitting to plinth -- 83½in. (212cm.) high
