A dated Royal Worcester two-handled oviform vase and cover
decorated in the Art Nouveau style with irises edged in gilt, a lesser spray to the reverse, the lower section moulded with a stiff-leaf band, the scroll handles flanked by stylised fish suspending drapery swags, moulded with masks between geometric pattern panels, the domed cover moulded with leaves, supported by a square plinth moulded with mythical beast masks among scrolling foliage, inscribed in iron-red to the base February 20th, 1893, purple marks, shape 1398, date code for 1892 -- 51cm. high (finial tip and base broken and repaired, chip to rim re-gilt, slihght wear)
