A pair of Mintons pâte-sur-pâte slender vases and covers
decorated by Alboine Birks with winged putti, one holding a wreath and lyre, the other an extinguished torch, above flowers, on a coral pink ground within rectangular panels with raised gilt zig-zags below scrolling foliage and lamps above swags, each reverse decorated with trophies within roundels, on a pale ivory ground, the wreath and ribbon handles gilt with raised flowerheads, with similar ornament to the knops above square section bases, AB monograms, gilt, impressed and incised marks, one date code for 1901 -- 30.5cm. high (one handle broken and restored, covers fixed, slight wear)
