De forme octogonale, la bordure est ornée de poissons et de chimères fantastiques émergeant des flots tumultueux ; le revers est incisé d'un poème de l'empereur Qianlong suivi de deux cachets Bi de et Lang run ; le dessus inscrit de fang tang baling dengni yan ('pierre à encre octogobale imitant le style des Tang').
