A YIXING GILT-DECORATED AND INSCRIBED TEAPOT
DAOGUANG-XIANFENG PERIOD (1821-1861)
The teapot is inscribed in gilt around the upper body with two inscriptions, and around the lower body with a prunus branch and bamboo stem on either side. The cover is decorated in gilt with two detached floral scrolls, the underside impressed with a signature Daheng.

The signature Daheng refers to Shao Daheng, a renowned Yixing teapot maker active during the Daoguang to Xianfeng period.
