The strigilated removable covers flanked by swag-hung ram's masks, the figured bodies with leaf-cast lower mount and conforming strigilated socles on stepped bases with ball feet, conceived as cassolettes, one lacking swag, both lacking nozzles, one body repaired, minor differences
8 in. (20 cm.) high; 3 in. (7.5 cm.) wide
Provenance
Possibly supplied to Henry, 2nd Earl Bathurst (1714-1794) for Apsley House, London or Cirencester House, Gloucestershire, and by descent in the collection of the Earls Bathurst.
