Faja Malvasia 1775

Recorked in 2019. New wax capsule with Malvasia Madeira seal. Handwritten stencilling with small handwritten back label 'Malvasia 1775'. Level: base of neck
Tasting note: Intriguing and intense rich nose of fudge, dried apricots and saffron spice gently sing from the glass. Subtle and multilayered, each time you pick up your glass another palette of aromas presents itself. Great complexity and harmony. An unctuous first attack of taste, covering your palette with rich fruits, fresh shaved almonds and rhubarb aromas. The acidity is nicely concentrated with a very good finish, and showing a gentle touch of bitterness. A complex wine of high quality. Fairly sweet and long cask aged. This is fantastic. The fine pretty grapefruit bitter is completing the phenomenal multidimensional aromas. A classic of the highest quality. Tasted January 2020. EV.
