A LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL BOTTLE VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The globular body is enameled in imitation of cloisonné enamel with leafy lotus scroll between a band of ruyi-heads and upright plantain leaves, above a band of flower heads around the foot. The flaring neck is decorated with two panels enclosing double happiness characters, shuangxi, flanked by pair of gilt-bronze archaistic scroll handles and surrounded by further lotus scrolls.
