A PAIR OF DAYAZHAI FAMILLE ROSE TURQUOISE-GROUND RECTANGULAR JARDINIÈRES
TONGZHI-GUANGXU PERIOD (1862-1908), FOUR-CHARACTER YONG QING CHANG CHUN MARKS IN IRON-RED
Each jardinière is decorated en grisaille with birds in flight above amongst chrysanthemum blooms and other flowers with leafy stems on a turquoise ground. Each jardiniere has a Dayazhai ('Studio of Great Elegance') mark and a cartouche reaching Tian di yi jia chun ('Spring throughout heaven and earth') seal in iron-red enamel below the rim.
7 5/8 in. (19.4 cm.) diam.
