FIRST EDITION of the Liber Teisir; the Colliget, a medical encyclopedia by the great natural philosopher Averroes, had been printed in 1482. Avenzohar's practical medical handbook had been translated from the Arabic into Hebrew by Jacobus Hebraeus, and from Hebrew into Latin by Patavinus as early as 1281.
