The ewer, on a raised circular foot, the coconut body mounted with a tapering stem cast and chased as laurel leaves, with wood scroll handle and flared lip, marked on base and upper rim; the bratina, ovoid coconut body mounted in a circular foot, secured by three hinged foliate straps, the upper rim engraved in Russian ‘[This] bratina [belongs to] Count Lev Aleksandrovich Shliakhovchevskii’, apparently unmarked
