FIRST DATED EDITION OF THE FIRST PRINTED BOOK ON COOKERY, and possibly the first edition. In this humanist treatise on the art of good living, Platina describes the pleasures of dining, gives practical advice on recipes, the nutritional values of foods and suggests sauces to accompany various dishes.
