Early figure eight style baseball in period maroon paint has hand-drawn gilt over red lettering listing the game score and date of July 6, 1878. Overall condition is very fine retaining excellent original surface.
Originated from the personal collection of Joe "Ubbo Ubbo" Hornung who played in the International Association and National League during the 1870-80s. Includes letter of provenance from the Hornung family: EX
