Rare and Historic April 30, 1939 Lou Gehrig Final Game Ticket Stub
Issued for the last Major League game that Lou Gehrig would play in against the Washington Senators before removing himself from the lineup due to his worsening medical condition. Gehrig went 0-4 in a losing cause, "Yanks-2 Senators-3 1939" written in black ink on reverse in period ink. Given the fact that Gehrig did not announce his last game the offered ticket is one of only a handful of examples known to exist and rarely become available in the marketplace: EX
